Luc Luc (2000-2009) was a Belgian Malinois, a breed I describe as akin to an atomic powered German Shepherd. Luc was a truly amazing dog and was everything I ever wanted. Ready to work instantly, mental stamina, a desire and ability to learn new skills made him a breeze to train. |

True to his breed Luc was a cop at heart. He received POST certification in Explosives Detection and relished any type of scent work. The force, inherited from his father was rather strong with him and he showed a fine aptitude for protection. We used to train and compete in agility also but the only thing that he loved as much as detection was herding. (I think it appealed to the control freak in him.) |
